E-house 2019 at the IFA

TAPKO KNX Secure device used in E-house 2019

The international electrical industry met again this year in Berlin in September at the IFA. An outstanding attraction was the so-called "E-House - Home of Smart Living" of the ZVEH, in which trade fair visitors were able to view and try out a living Smarthome (networked home of the future). On around 100 square meters, sensible possibilities are presented in eight modules. Newly integrated are, for example, assistance systems for age-appropriate living (AAL), as well as innovative, voice and gesture-controlled technology for more security and control of media technology.

The future is today

All applications integrated in the E-House are already available and usable today. It was also shown how the energy supply can be visualized and optimized in a building. This is made possible by the use of "artificial intelligence" (AI) in combination with predictive evaluation of weather data. And so the e-house became a veritable crowd puller, in which experts, interested parties, the media and politics made a rendezvous. A contribution to the success came from TAPKO Technologies GmbH from Regensburg, in the form of a built-in KNX Secure device. The topic of security is a sensitive topic for building automation already today and in the future.
